Nolan and Family, A simple thank you cannot do justice to all you guys have done for me. You told me long snapping would take me places I never expected to go (or something like that as you know my memory can be fuzzy at best sometimes) and I completely bought into it from day one. Nothing is better than the feeling of overcoming tremendous odds, and without your family and Coach Joe, I would never have the opportunites I have today. From the HIT complex to the SpeedSchool, I have completely trusted every adjustment you had made to me as a long snapper and I can say with 100% certainty that without those long and (most of the time) stressful lessons I would never be able to play D1 football (GO CHIPPEWAS.) Nolan helped me to get where I am today. By being Nolan’s back-up my freshman year at Northern Illinois University, it allowed a lot of time for him to focus on helping me. The drills he taught helped out significantly. By winning the snapping job in 2011 at NIU I earned a scholarship. I work out with him frequently at NOLS group lessons, and he shows me many new things about my form that I did not notice. Coach, I just wanted to say thank you because without you I would not be where I am today. You made me believe that I was a D1 snapper. I easily could have went and played for a D3 school but you showed me that I had much more potential than that and was a D1 snapper. You definitely know your stuff, not only about long snapping but with recruiting and everything that goes with it. Even though I have one of the longest drives out of all your snappers its 100% worth it. You make the lessons fun but you always make sure we know its all business and that we still have to work hard. You are by far the best long snapping coach that I have worked with and I can't wait to keep working with you throughout college. I will always be a Nolan Owen Long Snapper.
